Eenen! うん、それでええねん

Hi all!

It's the end of May now...how was your day?
Two days ago, I've got my group assignment back from school.
But I was sad because it didn't work well, and got lower mark than we all thought, although my group members and I spent a month to prepare for it. Lecturer was also surprised at us, saying "what happened to you all?!"

Well, basically, we put too much information on our assignment, and confused the reader. Yes, that's bad, since we didn't complete our mission to convince our readers to understand what we are arguing.
sigh...well, but we learned something from this mistake...at least  :(

We need to cheer ourself up!

Today, I post another Genki song here :)
It's called "Eenen"by ウルフルズ/ Ulfuls.
Eenen basically means "that's fine", or "let it be" in Japanese, Kansai dialect. (関西弁)

Since it's such an encouraging song (i think), I put an English translation of the song here :)

It's fine even if you don't say anything
It's fine even if you don't do anything
It's fine even if you laugh at me
It's fine if there's something you like
It's fine if you just feel it
It's fine if you like it
That's fine, that's fine

It's fine even if you regret
It's fine if you start over
It's fine even if you fail
It's fine if we go again
It's fine if you face forward
It's fine if your heart moves on
That's fine, that's fine

You're fine with me
It's fine if you love me
It's fine if we have the same dreams
It's fine if we're that wonderful together
It's fine even if you're not worried
It's fine if you look at me
That's fine
It is

That's a good idea
It's fine if it's nothing
It's fine if you're bluffing
It's fine even if you bit off more than you can chew
It's fine even if you lost control of yourself
It's fine if you want to end it
That's fine, that's fine

Stiff and dry
Falling and rolling about
Sometimes I get excited
It's fine if you love me like that
It's fine if you love days like that

It's fine even if you're miserable
It's fine if you try shouting
Bitter tears are fine
It's fine if you spill your secret
It's fine if you rest for a minute
It's fine if you heartily laugh
That's fine, that's fine

It's fine even if it's nothing
It's fine if you believe
It's fine even if it doesn't mean anything
It's fine if you feel something
It's fine if you don't need anything else
It's fine if you don't need anything else
That's fine
It is
It's fine...

失敗しても、別にええねん!また頑張ればええねん!
It's okay, even if you made mistakes. Just move forward!

Enjoy :)

心の隙間に音楽が ~Sukima Switch~

Hi all,

Well, it's becoming a weekly topic, but I'm going to introduce another J-Pop artists today :)

スキマスイッチ

sukimaswitch.jpg

There are several famous songs from their discography...

One of them is Draemon's movie theme (long time ago), ボクノート Boku Note :)

The melodies are very gentle, but also powerful. Messages in the lyrics are very simple, they give us courage for tomorrow.

Another piece would be...全力少年 Zenryoku Syounen

(*It's not an official MV...but funny one XD )
I suppose it's a Genki song :)

They also make sad and beautiful songs like...    奏 Kanade

I used to listen to their songs just before I came to Australia.
Some of their songs are still in my MDs...(old fashioned?)

I haven't been tracking their new songs, but I've heard that they are doing their own solo activities...:(
I liked the Aflo + Ohashi ...sob sob

Anyways!

Enjoy :D

With LOOOTS of love,
Treeeee

Charity

This week, Monash Sunway is holding a small charity :) Students can drop something that they no longer use on charity boxes.
Since my luggage is so heavy, I donated some of my pillow cases, vinegar (I bought it, but I didn't use it), chopsticks, folks, spoons, old clothes (some of them were around 6 years old @_@), a bottle of body moisturising cream (a gift from my aunty) etc... I don't know if they are useful, but I hope they are lol

Donating some of my belongings to the school, I recalled the times when I got involved in volunteer work. It was so much fan :)
I want to join them again when I go back to Melbourne. The invitations are piling up! It's going to be awesome!

Today's Etegami is: "I hope that I can be your help", as the blog is about charity :)

Always hoping to see people's smile,

Music I was listening to in a car: Part 1

Today's topic is Southern All Stars / Kuwata Keisuke~ :)
Again, listening to oldies recently, I recalled their/his music..
It was in my dad's car, I guess...used to sing their songs without knowing the meanings of the lyrics.

One of the well-known songs by Southern might be..(actually cannot count...there are so many xD) Shiroi Koibito tachi (White lovers, if directly translated.)

http://www.youtube.com/watch#!v=zvS52Iz_MLM&feature=related

In this PV, Kuwata Keisuke is very serious, being a polite uncle.

But once he covers his face with a mask of a vocalist in Southern....he turns to be a dirty old man!

or...is it his true face?! lol

I like this contrast, Mr. Kuwata. :P

Feeling like listening to nostalgic songs :)

Thinking of my school teacher in junior high school, whom I had admired, I used to listen to songs by this band.

After graduating from the school, I stopped, but this summer I felt like listening to them again.

As I still don't have much energy to make Etegami (again :p), I will introduce two songs here!

The first one is Momo by Spitz! 桃(peach)
On the way to the QV market in Melbourne for work, I was listening to this song, thinking how the summer in 2010 was gonna be.

Can't believe

I still can't believe this is Hamasaki Ayumi's song @_@
Since I was a rebellious child, I really disliked this popular singer.
But when I heard this song covered by the other singer recently, I really liked the melody....yea I'm loving it :)

Don't know if anyone is interested, but I will post it here now :p since I don't have much energy to put up a new Etegami today.
Love ~ destiny~ oops..omg I don't know how to put the video here!

Anyways,

Enjoy!

Mother's Day :)

"As I look back the way we have walked together, I realised that my shoe size is the same as yours now. Thank you for giving birth to me, and bringing me up till now, mum" :)

No more things to say today~

My cousins visited Toba :)

The spring has come. It's such a pleasure that new life is born.

Hi all :) Today, dad emailed me that father-side cousins and aunty & uncle visited my house in Japan. And one of the cousins brought his first daughter with him (her first visit in Toba! exciting).
This is Yuna, nice to see you~ X) Omg I wanna see herrrrrrr!

In his email, dad said that cute white flowers are growing at a place, where my dog's house used to be placed.

Look! the white flowers over there beside the rocks! They are named as flowers of Alex. haha

Recalling my dog who passed away last year...
I feel nostalgic and sad, when thinking about the past.
But I learned from my dad that positiveness and appreciation of new life are the key to be a liiiiiittle bit happier :)

The last shot! She looks like a rice cake XD cute

Totoro!

A spirit, which never forgets kindness.

Very heartwarming movie...:) As I get older, it looks very different...I always feel this way.
Fully energized now!

Apricot 〜杏〜

First love, it's sweet and sour. Like an apricot.

A bit sentimental now...

Oh yea,
By the way, I used this sentence when I was selling apricots at a fruit shop.
Female customers liked this, and we could sell a lot :x
The power of marketing.  (?)

絵手紙はじめました。 Introduction

Hi, I'm Treeeee/風林庵. Welcome to the Etegami diary :)
Well, since it’s the first posting, let me introduce myself.
I'm a university student in Melbourne, currently studying in Malaysia for one semester. Although I'm taking liberal arts as a major, I still love art since I was a child. My style is watercolor painting, but I'm practicing digital art recently. (It's very hard for me though, because I'm an analog person  =_=)

Now we shall move on to the introduction of Etegami for those who are not familiar with this genre :)

絵手紙-Etegami-is a type of letter, which has a picture of seasonal flowers, vegetables, events or any other places with a poem beside it. (the meaning of poem is related to the picture as well)
This culture has become popular since 1978, and it has been enjoyed as one of the traditional Japanese art. In short....it's like a handmade postcard :)
Each card carries meaningful messages. Sometimes, a sender/painter is saying "Thank you for apples, they were very tasty", or he/she may say "It's getting cold these days, but I'm fine and healthy" to a receiver. When I was small, I was fascinated with the fact that the card, this small card, delivers a heart of yours.

Today, I'm introducing two cards here :)

The one on the top is Tomato, Me, Malaysia
This is for my parents.

”Hotness Heat Steam..That's Malaysia
Although my face is red all the time, I'm alive, healthily”

This card is about a mouse. うちも正直えらいねん~honestly, I'm tired too~
This is for my uni friends :)

"Are you busy for study? I was running around all day, and I'm very exhausted too. Let's take a break and have some cheese."

A lot of assignments are coming, and exams as well..
But make sure to have some little break. Reward yourself. I heard the mouse saying so.
